I could play Tux Racer, Chromium, .... I couldn't start the Freeciv game 
though (server and client).

BTW, is there is an opengl benchmark program that coulds fps? I heard of 
something called ????gear (glgear?) in the list months ago, but I didn't 
archive the message.
