Ahh, but an ICON with a space in the name is not the same as a directory or
file with a space in the name. On KDE at least, the text shown on the screen
for an ICON need not be the file system name of the ICON or of the place the
ICON may refer. And, programs do not refer to the ICON's on-screen text when
referring to what an ICON may refer.
So we do make ICONS with spaces in the text on the screen. But no spaces
elsewhere!
