My thoughts exactly, but the system was idle. And I used it to copy & 
move about 4GB of data after that. All seems well. I was sure the thing 
had just cratered right before my eyes!

I gotta use it again tomorrow night to move some big .wavs from the 
church sound machine, so it'll get another workout.
