Everything I'm doing is "lab rat" right now. I have one of my bench
machines partitioned with an install of Libranet, Mepis, Debian and FC1.
I've been running the system update from Libranet - it ran for several
hours yesterday and I finally stopped it at bedtime.

Trying to find a distro suitable for desktop use but if it could also
suffice for a small server would be nice too. RHL9 did that wonderfully.
Alas, RH is no longer in the Linux business, they're in the enterprise
budget cleansing business.

So far Libranet 2.8.1 looks great. Install was a breeze; fonts are
superb; software selection is good; substantive complaints are few.

The famous Debian repositories are a disappointment tho. Was downhearted
to find out that even in unstable, the packages are typically 1-2
versions old.
