400 MBit a second (;-)). I was (still am) hoping for a 800 MBit firewire
version. On our Iomega Peerless firewire disks, the front display shows the
actual current transfer rate. The interface is 400 MBit, but we usually get
16 MB or so. It depends on the files size. Large files result in a faster
transfer rate. All the directory fiddling for a new file seems to take a bit
of time.
