kernel not detecting 'smp'

Thanks a lot..
But i am also surprised how the default became 0? Because i never touch the
/etc/grup.conf.. Moreover this is brand new server. Just installed the
redhat9.0, this is dell poweredge 2650 with two Processors. The server is at a
remote place but as i heard that Dell has given some kernel upgradation or
something and it was installed after after the redhat9.0 installattion..
So do you think i need to made 'default 0' and reboot the server?
Please suggest..
