USB detachable keypads and linux

I've had good results with the Targus USB keypads on SuSE 8.2 and SuSE 9.0
on ThinkPad R31s.  Some keypads I've tried had a nasty habit of locking the
keyboard of the ThinkPads in numeric mode, but the Targus didn't have this
problem.
