Sorry, all I have are wild assed guesses.  Oddly google groups returns no 
hits when searching on "log_clean".  Google web shows a real mixed bag, 
some look to be related to C or C++ functions but also some are related to 
squid.  So my first WAG question is, is squid on this host?  I don't know 
anything about manipulating apt-get for querying installed packages about 
ownership, but I'd see if there is anything equivalent to an rpm query of 
"rpm -qf /usr/bin/log_clean"
