When I was a kid I wanted to be a scientist. Now I'm glad I didn't. As 
science is, for all practical purposes, dead. It has been borged by 
politics.

The scientific method gave us "the enlightenment" and several centuries 
of amazing progress, but like the American republic it has proven to be 
a failure. A passing fad. Unsustainable. Well, it was a good try anyway.
