We're having a fairly typical winter in Colorado - normal snow storms in
the mountains, some snow in the city, nothing like the severe drought
conditions of the past two years. A typical winter day here on the
plains east of the mountains is mostly 40-50 F daytime, 20-30 F
overnight. Sometime between Christmas and mid January, we get a couple
of days that hover near 0 F.

It's not severe weather as much as drouth that is the problem here.
