Is Clarion the one based on Ctree?  The locking was done using a DOS add on 
called SHARE.EXE.  I would expect SAMBA to support the basic structure because 
it is all about sharing files.  Lantastic used a really fruit networking 
scheme.  They were a big proponent of arcnet (star) topology.  (At least that 
is what I ran Clarion on...)  Does your version of Clarion support other networks?
