Thanks to all for your comments. I guess if I am going to try to compile
anything, I should go for the Linux 2.6 kernel, then worry about
experimenting with desktops. As I look into upgrading to 2.6, I see many
comments about making the compile from 2.4. Since I'm still on 2.2-10, do I
need to go to 2.4 and then 2.6, or can I jump from here?
