I've tried cmatrix.. It works, sort of, but not too well with bootsplash.  I'm 
hoping more for something to replace the plain old blank screen that comes on 
after 10 min. or so... esp. while I'm trying to get X, KDE, etc. working 
under 64-bit ;)
