Where does this command come from? I do not seem to have it on my
system. And nowhere in /usr. Which emerge does this come with? Or is
this a Debian thing? I need to sort it out in Gentoo. I would hate to
have to emerge Gnome just to set up a config file.

(I tried looking for update-alternatives in the Gentoo forums and did
not get much useful info. So it must know I am looking for it...)
