Nothing against AMD machines (they're great), but I've been really happy with the bargain-priced Power Spec P4 2.4GHz unit I bought at micro-center - only $450 since it was last year's demo model and they even discounted it for the price of memory, since I really wanted a 512MB unit! It's one of the quietest units I've owned. Gamesters won't like the machine with it's onboard SIS video, but it works like a champ for me as a desktop machine.
