Easy instructions for wireless card installation?

Here is a link to a card that might work but:

It doesn't list the chip type or driver compatibility, so,
what's a fella to do? There is no mention of this card,
that I could find, in the 2.4.24 kernel.

The SMC2532 appears to be, from its picture, for a
laptop. I need one for a desktop.
