Ugh, mylex.  Mylex controllers have abysmal performance.  At any rate, 
you configure the RAID controller at bootup, by hitting ALT-R when 
prompted.  Most Mylex controllers manufactured in the past 5 years can 
do RAID 0 through 5 (all poorly).
