D-Link AP-2000+ Configuration

Roger,

I was able to access my D-Link base station (DWL-2000AP --
where the AP is AirPlus -- hope this really is the same unit
you have) control page through a web browser both through the
wireless connection and from other computers on my LAN.

My LAN has dedicated IPs, so I know where everything is. I
also have my wireless base station behind my firewall, and
attached to my LAN switch, so it has access to the LAN and
all machines on the LAN have access to it. So, from any
machine on my LAN I enter:
http://192.168.x.y
in the web browser and it accesses the D-Link control page.
Where x is the subnet and y is the specific IP of the
wireless base station (D-Link AP2000+).

I would suspect that if you had troubles it has to do with the
IP of the D-Link not being in the subnet it is handing out to
the machines that attach to it. Since you are using it as a
router, it must be on the subnet that it is accessing, and it
will probably hand out IPs on a different subnet. That would
be my guess.

Hope this helps.
