Are you using dhcp to get an address? What address does the card have from
ifconfig -a ? I assume no address. Is the marked as UP by ifconfig?
I have a small script that I used when starting my card in Gentoo. It is at
home. I can send it to you. It was only a few lines, but worked fine. I,
too, had trouble finding where Gentoo expected things to be. So I made a
small script to do the same thing. Interested? I can pass it along when I
get home.
BTW, after using the linuxant driverloader on Gentoo, I did not need my
script anymore. Nor did I need to figure out how Gentoo stored the info
needed to run the commands to start the card.
