Fix for RPM deadlock problem

Just found this nifty article about how to solve the infamous and 
aggravating RPM hang problem that as plagued RH 8 & 9:

It even has upgraded RPM packages for these "legacy" versions of RH.

(Seems a bit odd to refer to an 8-month old O/S as "legacy".)
