In Ft.StJohn, B.C. (CA) They had a power line (HV transmission line) 
drop during a snow storm and hit a local feed line, BC Hydro replaced 
all fried electronics in the area. They also paid for any data recovery 
services people with pc required. I did about 6 of these and of course 
kept the damaged HD's (returned them for warranty<G>). I'm sure your 
e-provider is more than likely responsible for damages caused by this 
mess, check it out.
