Don't buy a new cable just yet ! I wasted money on buying new external
cables, just to get my external HDD working with my Adaptec U160 card.
My suggestion is to try all the software workarounds, fixes, etc. first,
because SCSI cables are expensive.
I now have 2 external cables (brand new), and 1 Adaptec terminator and
my external hard drive still doesn't work. I ended up connecting the
hard disk internally, and now everything is working fine.
I'm pretty sure it can be fixed through software or configuration. I'm
glad I didn't recommend AMD64 for my present project ! Was going to, but
the cost was a little over budget.
