Europe power is 220 volts. I dislike transformers. So, all 110 volt
equipment was left behind. Even my favorite Denon turntable. Nice one.
Had a magnetic coating on the inside rim of the platter. A pickup like
that on a tape read the platter speed and kept it rotating at a constant
rate. Nice closed-loop control. I have a large selection of vinyl
waiting for a new life on my iPod, but, alas, no decent turntable to
spend the time digitizing with.
Is this off topic? On the 25th?
