I guess that you don't have more than one soundcard, so the alias should 
read

alias snd-card-0   snd-intel8x0

But there is more to do about your modules.conf to get the alsa driver 
going, look at
http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php?company=Intel&card=i820&chip=i820&module=intel8x0
for a sample configuration.
