Folks,

last nite at approx 2:15 am we had a major earthquake centered 6 mi off
Puerto Armuelles (_very_ close to here).  80 houses in rubble, one
infant died when a wall collapsed.  Could still feel aftershocks at 7
am.  Over a dozen that could be felt, hundreds too minor to feel.

You will be able to see data at http://www.volcanbaru.com/  follow the
chiri net signs (red sismica).  Two of the stations operate in my
facilities.  "sismos recientes" (recent siesmic activity) still shows
last april's big quake, but the new data should be on-line within a day
or two (probably later today).
