mutilated misquotes
from Joel Hammer's 23 Dec 2003 classic prose
may follow:
" It seems that a lot of opensource software is available these days to
" run on windows.
"
" I wonder: Is this good or bad for the advancement of linux on the
" desktop? I would vote yes, because it would be a way to wean windows
I still run a lot of windoze stuff (hangs head in shame) and I vote
yes also. In one (not the only) scenario, when I'm able to do
everything I want in software which runs on both then I will happily
slide linux (the os) underneath.
" users away from MS software while they could still cling to windows
" during a transition period. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Strictly speaking, for me, it's not windows, it's the apps.

"Fix reason firmly in her seat and call to her tribunal every fact,
every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God;
because, if there is one, he must more approve of the homage of
reason, than that of blindfolded fear." --Thomas Jefferson
