Well worth the flames.  I don't own a gun nor do I over want to own one, but I 
see nothing useful to be gained by attempting to "control" the use of guns by 
rational people while the criminal element do as they damn well please.

All of us behave pretty much like children when the conversation turns to the 
"unmentionable."  There is scarcely any middle ground between love and hate; 
lurkers turn into activists in a keystroke.
