Well that innocent remark and the beginning of that thread seems to have
brought more life into this list, and it is the odd remark that often works.
I have not answered so much mail for a long time, being that most recently
was as dry as the creek at the bottom of the yard. Some lightheartedness is
mandatory in any list that is going to last, and the user to appear to be
human.
I have had many things I could have written but did not, thinking that it was
unwanted. Most of what does appear is not in my field of expertise anymore
and what I am interested in does not appear to interest others.
I sit and ruminate about those who have gone and what their names were, mostly
I have forgotten them. Marcus ? Les Bell, Edith ? ? Ratcliffe and so on A I.
What am I interested in; I have two TV cards one analogue one digital, so I
record
cheffing programs to hd and put them down to dvd. In windows as its far to hard
to use linux, and especially command line for me these days. The same applies
the DV and editting; the programs available online are too difficult so I
use Ulead
video studio 7 to edit and ulead DVD workshop to author. Linux has sortb of
ignored this area of multimedia, which others have taken up and many users
today are interested in. Users have been pushed into dvd readers plus writer
have become very cheap and cd reader and writer are being discontinued.
The media is also very cheap now, bought 50 good quality at $1 each.
Lastly to all onlist a very Merry Xmas and a prosperous New Year.
Skippy in the tropics, well its hot.
