switching hard drives

okay. here's my sense of what will work.

copying everything over is no problem -- that's totally a piece of cake. 
the trick, as mentioned, will be getting lilo to write to the boot 
sector of the new drive properly; i am replacing, not adding, a drive.

to perform that function, i believe i can boot from floppy, chroot to 
the boot partition of the new drive, and run /sbin/lilo.
