Help with alsa

I have a SB Live! 5.1 card.  I have a DVD player connected to the digital in 
and a CD-RW connected to the AUX in.  The card initializes correctly and plays 
all the computer based stuff (.wav .mp3 ...) but I can't get anything to play 
from the DVD.  I am not quite sure how to set the cdplayer to point to the 
second cdrom so I haven't tested that.  [MMRFFLE!]

This is a new gentoo install on account of my toasting the Caldera install I 
was using.  I attach the emu10k1.conf and the output of amixer.  Any help 
appreciated.
