KDE popup messages

Thanks.
I tried xmessages and kdialog. Both worked fine for my simple needs.
I never knew such a nice thing existed. Which, it just goes to show, I have a
lot to learn about linux!
I updated my jpg labelling program to include xmessages to communicate
some info to the user. Nice.
