Kinda caught this (but not the beginning): What status do you want to
display? There are things like bandwidthd which will show each system's
use of bandwidth, mrtg, which can show similar but for the network,
other programs that show if your web server is running (ntop and nagios
come to mind), etc. RRDTool can graph most anything.
