mutt says mailbox read only

Speaking of questions:

I just mv'ed a bunch of directories from a smaller to a larger hard drive,
including /home, /var, opt1, and /usr.

This worked, surprisingly enuf.

However, mutt complains that my mailbox is read only when I try to delete
mail. I can edit my /var/spool/mail/user mailbox with vi, and fetchmail is
working fine, so sendmail is writing to this mail box.

Here are the permissions:

-rw-r-----   1 jlh  root  866172 Nov 30 20:59 /var/spool/mail/jlh

mutt has the following permissions:

-r-xr-xr-x   1 root     root       404944 Feb 17  2000 /usr/bin/mutt
