Removing a comment from images

With Version: @(#)ImageMagick 5.4.4 04/05/02 Q:16
http://www.imagemagick.org I get the appending behavior, in a debian
system. This is the newest version in the lindows warehouse.

With Version: @(#)ImageMagick 5.1.0 00/01/01 Q:8
cristy at mystic.es.dupont.com I get the replacement behavior.

So, upgrade time. I have gotten so spoiled with the warehouse/debian thing
(one click and you are done) that I was horrified I had to:
1. Try the rpm method. Failed, even with --nodeps, since I was lacking
a library or two. Now THAT is a bad memory.

2. Try the binary install method, which required me to:
	a. do the ldconfig thing
	b. move the binaries into a directory in my path
	c. export the the home directory of imagemagick.
#2 worked.
So, now I have
     ImageMagick 5.5.7 11/05/03 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org
Copyright: Copyright (C) 2003 ImageMagick Studio LLC
and the convert -comment command now works as expected.

BTW, it took me about an hour to fiddle with getting imagemagick
installed (I tried several other things for getting the binaries to work,
eg. symbolic links and shell scripts). You just have got to love debian.
Installing most software it if comes from the lindows warehouse takes
one mouse click.

Thanks,

Joel
