I can confirm it is the software that is at fault but as to why I cannot say.
I have been using, in XP, DVD authoring software which can capture as
well. Ulead DVD Workshop and also Movie Factory will capture as follows:
Channels 2 = 16, Ch 7 = 67, Ch 9 = 76, Ch 10 = 84, whilst I cannot capture
the SBS and Ch 31 at all. If I use Videostudio it is 2 = 3, 7 = 9, 9 = 11, 
10 = 12,
SBS = 15 and 31 = 18. 2 to 10 are 2 out whilst the last 2 are nowhere near.
SBS is normally 28 and 31 = 31.
