I don't know whether it works with all fs types, but MAXTOR/Western Digital (et
al) usually provide a drive cloning function on a CD or floppy.  You plug in the
new drive as primary, the old drive as secondary, boot from the CD/floppy, and
instruct the software to copy the old drive to the new drive.
