<OT> Testing email loop: No response please

There, you opened this useless email.
If you must know, the hard drive on my
router/emailserver/printerserver/dns/scsi-scanner/firewall/cable connected
oldest computer went down (or up, depending.) I was a bit suprised to find
that:
The computer is too old for a new big hard drive AND my backups were not
nearly as complete as I thought.
Sigh...
Well, its NICE getting to spend some time with my sendmail.cf again. And
yes, tracking down my mta's refusal to work to the odd permissions on
/var/spool/mail on my other old computer reminded me of how important
permissions are in linux. Really, they are. And, this was an opportune time
to get rid of my last coxial cables and go to all twisted wire.
So, I am spending a lot of time getting back to where I was. I haven't
even thought about the printing and scanning problems. What I really miss
are those little special passwords and ip's that all resided on the bad
hard drive.
