This may help

23: chucho at localhost:/usr/local/netscape$ tar --version | grep tar
tar (GNU tar) 1.13.25

24: chucho at localhost:/usr/local/netscape$ tar --help | grep zip
   -j, --bzip2                        filtra el archivo a trav?s de bzip2
   -z, --gzip, --ungzip               filtra el archivo a trav?s de gzip
