OpenMosix (based on Mosix) allows idle systems to share the work load of
other systems.  It allows systems (under some circumstances) to pool
computational resources.

That said, it won't help much with compiles because a compile (like a
kernel compile) is really a very large bunch of small jobs.  So small,
they're done before thay can be migrated to another system.

But big jobs do get help.
