You sure it's tied to the inode? I moved the AppGen license file (in
/etc) on a server to a second disk and it worked fine. Original
installation was Caldera 3.1, I installed Debian on disk2, mounted the
AppGen partition, copied 3 files in /etc, and started running AppGen --
worked fine, and I'd bet any amount of money the inode number is not the
same (odds are 1:millions). Just needed an oldlibs file (ncurses4).
