Another dumb question about cablemodem and wireless network

I have not seen any drivers for any PCI or PCMCIA 802.11g cards.
I am tempted to get a D-Link DWL-2000AP and initially use it with an
802.11b card. When drivers become available, I can boost the speed of
the clients, keeping my access point.
