strange problem with checkinstall and spamassassin

I just added in OpenLinux into the script. It's very simple. Just vi into
the checkinstall script and search for redhat or RedHat or packages.
/packages
and you'll see a line something like
for i in redhat RedHat packages <etc....>; do
Add in OpenLinux and all should be good.
At least that's how I used to do it. Since moving to SuSE I've not had a
whole lot of time or need to use it, and SuSE is supported by default. I've
also learned .spec files a lot better and typically will build my own .spec
file since it gives me a lot better control over things like
/lib/modules/modules.dep, /etc/ld.so.cache and the like. Nothing like
wiping out a necessary system file just because you removed a CheckInstall
package that thought it owned it...
But those days are long ago. I've heard the newer versions have a great
deal of power behind them, even beyond what it originally did.
