recording wavs

Count yourself lucky at least they are longer than 1.39 mins !!! :-)

I was looking at some cd's at lunchtime and they were old stuff that had
been re-released on CD and the label on them said 
 "digitally remastered in 24 bit digital quality"
I wonder if any of us could tell the difference ?
