For those kibitzing on Redhat's exit from the retail market, i received
this from a Redhat employee this morning (on a separate closed list that
i'm on). This is _NOT_ an official statement from redhat, just the
comments of one employee, who shall remain nameless.

Okay, first off I have no opinion on the box product. There
are a wide range of opinions on this topic within RH. However,
RH is doing quite well and will be around for a while. Back to
the box product. For the past several months there has been no
dedicated engineering done on the box product. RH 9 was an
example of this. RH 9 and all future consumer products will be
snapshots of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux code(AS). All
engineering time is being spent on RHEL. RHEL consists of three
products AS,WS, and ES.
