I'm getting lots of positive feedback from gentooers - at least one
recommending each of the above mentioned tools <g>. There is also
something called dvdrip for copying dvds. You should try again.
I haven't bought any dvd media yet, but the unit works like a champ
burning CD media with cdrecord. A plus: I have some ancient CD-RW
media that I got when I had my very first CD burner. My previous CD
burner (HP) would not accept the media, but the Sony unit has no such
problems, so now I have more media available. Burning at 10X is a
dream!
BTW, I failed to get in on the "welcome back, Keith" series, so here
it is now.
