FW: Install Problem Dual Boot RH72//XP

I haven't tried moving it yet as Joel suggested. If the BIOS recognizes the
drive, and RH correctly identified it earlier in the startup (hdd Maxtor
etc.) I thought the controller and disk itself was okay. It seemed when it
was checking partition tables (before it was even formatted) there was a
problem and I don't know what to do about that, since I then created a
partition and formatted it and had the same results. I'll try Joel's
suggestion.
I'm using 7.2 because I have the boxed set. I don't even like RH that much,
but I have it and I want to get familiar enough with Linux to take on LFS.
It seems the best way to learn.

Sounds like the classic symptoms of a bad drive, or bad controller. Have
you tried moving it to a different location? Also, is the drive jumpered
to be the slave? Just wondering why you're playing with RH-7.2?
