Whoa Nelly! GF4-MultiScreen kills machine with X

Anyone have any further thoughts on this one?
I've also noticed that attempting to switch VC's also causes this behavior. 
I'm at a loss, and a bit afraid to test too much since I don't like
hard-booting the machine much :(
