yeah, I checked my customer's logs for it as well. Their Applications servers
have PF to
telnet and ftp services on the Application servers, but those services are
fairly well secured/authenticated.
Nothing out of the ordinary, ProFtpd gets hammered on a regular basis, so I do not
get to concerned, unless I see the same IP/host repeatedly trying to get in.
NOW I do take seriously, the telnet attempts, especially if the occur more than
once from the same IP/Host, or when the "gethostbyname" fails to resolve WHOM
they say they are ...
But, I saw nothing unusual this weekend ..
