RH kernel update

OK, I need someone more familiar w/ Red Crap to give me a clue on this
one. This is 7.3 running kernel 2.4.18-3.

Needed to replace the kernel and iptables (2.4.18 lacks htb3 support and
ip_nat_h323/ip_conntrack_h323 among other things, such as xfs).

Anyway, d/l, patched, installed new kernel.

First bug: /etc/fstab looked bizarre (weirdness with LABEL=/ nonsense).
Fixed it and boot proceeded fine.

Current bug: I have 3 interfaces: 3c59x, 8139too, dmfe. Under 2.4.18-3
they come up fine. Under 2.4.21-xfs dmfe causes a large number of TX
reset errors. I've used these same interface cards with 2.4.21 on other
systems with no problems. So there must be some kind of tomfoolery
going on with interface configurations under Red Crap.

The same modules load, things look the same, except dmfe doesn't work
and gives continuous errors.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanx,

David A. Bandel
