Anytime someone says "never", especially politicians, professors, CEOs, etc 
you can almost be for sure it will happen.

To point out the obvious flaw in your teachers thinking. It is not the OS of 
choice but rather the threat from billyg if vendors try shipping anything 
else. That does not make it a chocie. That makes it dictated.
